Great Moving’s history in New York goes back to 1999-2000, when the current owners started working for local moving companies in New York. This was a great experience, not only in regards to learning the ins and outs of the business, but also to understand, why so many of residents in New York and New Jersey weren’t happy with their moving experiences. After working for other local New York moving companies for a number of years, the current owners decided to found Great Moving in order to serve New York and the surrounding areas with superior professional moving services and become one of the most highly rated moving companies in the Tri-state area.

Great Moving was launched in 2011 with one truck to offer local moves in New York and a couple of men to work with. Yet that didn’t deter our determined crew at Great Moving to pursue ultimate satisfaction and a hassle free moving experience for our customers as our one and only goal. From a free and easy estimate and flat hourly rates to packing materials, our expert movers at NYC Great Movers have your back. We are available to move you every day of the week, even on holidays! While we suggest contacting us at least a month before your planned move date, if you need to make a last-minute move get in touch! We might be able to help you out. And unlike many other NYC moving companies, we won’t charge you an extra fee for last-minute moves.
