The Best Hudson Yards Movers
While this neighborhood is relatively young, it was launched in 2019, it has already become a popular destination due to the many amenities that have popped up such as a large mall, landmark architecture, a park, and more. While this area might have only appeared in 2019, it has been in the works since the 1950s. With all the new development, more people are moving into the area to take advantage of this prime location along the westside of Manhattan. Its location boasts great access to the Hudson River, train lines, and more!
This neighborhood may have only been named in 2019, but NYC Great Movers has been relocating people here for decades. Whatever you need for your move we can help whether it’s boxes, eco-friendly plastic bins, or packing. We’ll handle your last minute relocation with the same amount of professionalism as customers who hired us months in advance. Our goal is to make sure you’re happy and that your belongings arrive safely to their new home. If you have any questions on what we do and provide, contact us and we’ll walk you through the process.

Our Top Hudson Yards Moving Tips
Cost of Living
As a newly formed neighborhood with a focus on luxury, it’s no surprise that rents here are on the more expensive side. Getting a place here will cost you around $4,500 for a one bedroom in one of the luxury apartments. What do you get for that price? Awesome skyline views, high-end amenities like gym access and washer/dryer, and easy access to some amazing shopping and food.
Transportation
When Hudson Yards was developed, NYC also extended the 7 lines for easy public transportation access. You can hop on at 34th street and take the 7 train cross town and into Queens. Or, walk a bit further east to 8th avenue for the A, C, E and 34th street, Penn Station. From there you have access not only to the subway, but Amrak, NJ Transit and the Long Island Railroad.
Crime and Safety
Hudson Yards is very safe and has a lower crime rate compared to the rest of the city as a whole. Much of this is due to the luxury development in the area. The neighborhood is home to one police and fire department.
What to Do and See
If you love shopping then this is the place for you. Hudson Yards Mall, a four story mall that features both luxury and popular retailers like Cartier, Tory Burch, H&M, Uniqlo, and more. If you get tired of shopping, you can stop by one of the many restaurants that range from high end to more casual. Stop by Milos for some delicious Greek food and wine. Or go to Queensyard for some modern British cuisine. Otherwise, you can check out Fuku for some tasty fried chicken or Shake Shack for those delicious smashed burgers.
Just outside Hudson Yards Mall there’s the Vessel, a honey-comb like structure that towers over you at 150 feet. As of 2024, you can go inside the structure once again, but you are still not allowed to go to the top level. If you want a better view of the Manhattan skyline, you can head up to the Edge, which is the highest sky deck in the Western Hemisphere. You can get a 360 degree view of Manhattan, yes that includes below your feet! And once you’re done enjoying the sights, you can catch a show or gallery at The Shed.
