The Best Greenville Movers
This southernmost neighborhood in Jersey City gets a bad rap, but since 2010 it has seen a revitalization due to local and federal infrastructure spending. With more people and businesses moving in, it is one of the fastest growing neighborhoods in Jersey City. The area offers plenty to do from parks to bars to restaurants making it a perfect place for both families and young professionals.
Moving to Greenville doesn’t have to be stressful. Just hire NYC Great Movers and we can help you every step of the way. We consider Jersey City as another borough of Manhattan so any move from NYC to Greenville will get you the same low, hourly flat-rate as if you were moving to Queens or Brooklyn. If you need more help, we can provide you with almost everything moving related from supplies to storage, we’ve got you covered.

Our Top Greenville Moving Tips
Cost of Living
Compared to the rest of Jersey City, Greenville is still relatively affordable with average rents hovering around $1,600 for a one-bedroom and homes going for around $500,000. The prices are only expected to go up though as more people get pushed out of the more ‘desirable’ areas like Downtown Jersey City. So if you’re looking to make the move, it’s better to do so sooner rather than later as rent prices are only expected to increase over the years.
Transportation
You have access to the Richard Street and Danforth Avenue stations on the east side of the neighborhood and the West Side Branch in the North giving you plenty of options to get around New Jersey and into Manhattan. There are also several buses that travel through the neighborhood making Greenville one of the best areas in New Jersey for commuters.
Crime and Safety
Greenville is slowly becoming more safe. Unlike neighborhoods like Downtown Jersey City, Greenville has more of a community vibe with residents actually knowing and looking out for each other. The more you get to know your neighbors the safer you’ll be. So long as you aren’t involved in gang or drug related activities, you should be fine.
What to Do and See
Greenville itself is a beautiful neighborhood with gorgeous brownstones and row houses throughout the neighborhood. You won’t see any high rises here, at least not yet. While this is primarily a residential neighborhood, there are points of interest here including the Afro-American Historical and Cultural Society Museum, the historic BayView – New York Bay Cemetery, and St. Patrick’s Church, which has been around since the 1870s.
If you’re looking for some delicious restaurants, there are plenty to choose from. Grab one of the best eggs benedict at Lou’s Restaurant or head over to Laico’s for some amazing Italian. Then head over to Neptune Bakery and Deli for one of their famous pastries. Walk around and enjoy Bayside Park’s amenities like their basketball and tennis courts or check out the Audubon Park for a relaxing stroll.
