The Best Tudor City Movers
Nestled between Turtle Bay and Murray Hill, Tudor City is a micro-neighborhood overlooking the East River and the United Nations. First developed following the Civil War, this area offers lovely pre war buildings, its own park, and some of the best views of East 42nd street thanks to the neighborhood being on a slight incline. Walking around the area you’ll get a real sense of old-world charm and elegance due to the main Tudor-inspired buildings in the area. And while it might be small, you’re surrounded by plenty of amenities.

Our Top Tudor City Moving Tips
Cost of Living
This semi-hidden micro-neighborhood might have once been dominated by tenements and slums, but nowadays it is a highly sought after area. You can expect to pay at least $4,000 for a one bedroom apartment if you’re lucky.
Transportation
Tudor City might be on the east side of Manhattan, but thanks to its proximity to Grand Central Station you can easily travel to the west side via the 7 or Shuttle train. You, of course, also have access to the 4, 5, and 6 trains. If you’d like to get out of the city, MetroNorth is just a few blocks away.
Crime and Safety
There aren’t any crime stats when it comes to this neighborhood, but if you look at Murray Hill and Turtle Bay, both areas tend to have lower than average crime rates when compared to the rest of the city. As such, it’s probably safe to say that Tudor City also has low crime.
What to Do and See
Despite its small size, there’s a lot to check out in Tudor City. It boasts several landmarks including Tudor City Greens, a set of landscaped parks located between residential buildings. These parks are open to the public so you can grab a cup of coffee from John’s Coffee Shop then relax and do some people watching. Another landmark is the Tudor City Bridge, also known as the “Bridge of Opportunities.” This iconic pedestrian bridge spans over 42nd street and offers some amazing views of the city skyline and of Manhattanhenge provided you get to the bridge early enough.
Despite its small size, Tudor City offers some great local eats. Grab some authentic NYC pizza slices at Patsy’s Pizzeria. For more upscale occasions, head to Tudor City Steakhouse for some delicious steaks and cozy vibes. If you travel a bit outside of the area, you then have access to all the amazing restaurants and bars in Murray Hill and Turtle Bay including the iconic Campbell inside Grand Central Terminal or PJ Clarke’s located on Third Avenue.
