The Best Todt Hill Movers
Living on Staten Island already feels like you are not living in NYC, but Todt Hill really gives you that suburban feel. While the original name was used for the actual hill located on Staten Island, which is the highest natural point in the five boroughs, it has since evolved to include the upscale houses built along the eastern side of the hill. Today, Todt Hill is considered one of the most exclusive and expensive areas of Staten Island due to its beautiful homes, good schools, and numerous parks.
If you manage to snag a home in Todt Hill, then reach out to NYC Great Movers to make your relocation to Staten Island a breeze. Whether you’re making a local or long distance move, we can help you out. Heck, we can even help you if you need to transport a new piece of furniture to your home! Just let us know your needs and we’ll see how we can help.

Our Top Todt Hill Moving Tips
Cost of Living
As one of the most exclusive neighborhoods of Staten Island, Todt Hill isn’t cheap. The majority of residents own their home with the median home value just under $1 million. If you’re looking to rent, expect to pay at least $2,500 for a one-bedroom apartment.
Transportation
Sure, you get the quiet of the suburbs when you move to Todt Hill, but you also get the lack of public transportation. About 15 minutes away you can catch the Staten Island Railway at Dongan Hills, which will take you to the Staten Island Ferry.
Crime and Safety
Todt Hill is incredibly safe with very little violent or property crime. In fact, it is one of the safest places in NYC. The residents are also very friendly and generous and will definitely keep an eye out for everyone in the community.
What to Do and See
When you move to Todt Hill, you move for peace and quiet, not necessarily for a wild nightlife. And the area delivers in that respect. Most residents head to either Reed’s Basket Willow Swamp Park or Deere Park for some hiking trails. Nearby there’s also Todt Hill Woodlands, a 56 acre forested land that belongs to the Staten Island Greenbelt. In addition to hiking, the Woodlands are a great place for birding enthusiasts.
As a mostly residential neighborhood, there’s hardly any commercial development in the area. When it comes to restaurants, you’ll need to travel a bit outside of Todt Hill to Hylan Boulevard for a variety of cafes and restaurant options, but there are a few options on Richmond Road include the KOVA, which offers some tasty brunch options and Max’s Es-Ca for some great Italian.
