The Best Lenox Hill Movers

Forming the lower section of the Upper East Side from the East River to Central Park East and going from the 60th street to 77th street, Lenox Hill offers tree-lined streets and access to Central Park. Named after the farm that used to span much of the neighborhood, there’s certainly no traces of its former namesake. Today, Lenox Hill is known for its high class restaurants, retail, and proximity to numerous amenities including many museums, luxury shops, and 5-star restaurants.

Moving to Lenox Hill doesn’t have to be hard. If you hire NYC Great Movers, we can make your transition easy. Whether you only need the basic moving package or you decide to spring for the partial or full packing service, we’ve got you covered for that and everything in between. Our goal with every move is to provide a custom plan that matches your needs and budget. And while renting and apartment in Lenox Hill won’t be cheap, our moving services are affordable and hassle-free.

Our Top Moving Tips

Our Top Lenox Hill Moving Tips

Cost of Living

With all of the amazing amenities and with so much of the neighborhood lying within the Upper East Side Historic District, you can expect rent prices to be high. A one-bedroom apartment will cost you around $3,500, though you might be able to find some cheaper options if you find a place that is closer to the East River. Want to buy? Expect to cough up $2 million for a condo or apartment.

Transportation

Thanks to the partial completion of the 2nd Avenue train, you now have access to both the Q and the 6 train. Both of these will get you to Midtown in about 15-20 minutes. There are also plenty of express and local bus routes and, like the rest of Manhattan, Lenox Hill is incredibly walkable.

Crime and Safety

Lenox Hills is quite safe with crime rates lower than the city overall. As with all neighborhoods in NYC, avoid being out too late at night and always be alert. You should also avoid walking around Central Park late at night.

What to Do and See

Living in Lenox Hill means you really get to enjoy everything the city has to offer. While Museum Mile starts a bit further north, you can still enjoy places like the Mount Vernon Hotel Museum & Garden on 61st street or the Asia Society and Museum on Park Avenue. It is also home to the Bernard Museum, which is also the world’s largest synagogue! If you prefer to get some fresh air, head over to Central Park and enjoy the open lawns or tailored gardens and paths. You also have easy access to the Central Park Zoo, which might be small but it has a variety of animals including red pandas and snow leopards. You can also hop onto the Roosevelt Island Tram and enjoy the views of the East River and the skyline as you ride.

Lenox Hill is a foodie paradise. There are numerous Michelin-star restaurants including Daniel, a French-American restaurant and Sushi Noz, an omakase sushi restaurant serving seasonal fish. Of course, there are plenty of more casual options available including Orsay, a French restaurant that features dishes created using traditional techniques and Patisserie Vanessa, a delicious pastry shop with seasonal and standard desserts. If you want to go shopping head to Madison Avenue and you’ll be able to choose from multiple brands like Michael Kors, Armani, Versace, and more!
