The Best Battery Park Movers
Named after the Battery, a 25-acre public park on the southern tip of Manhattan, Battery Park is home to some of the most iconic buildings in NYC including the Oculus and One World Trade Center. The neighborhood offers amazing access to waterfront views, excellent amenities, and tons of job opportunities. And while there are some bars and restaurants, the area tends to clear out after working hours so you also get to experience relatively quiet evenings.
Our moving experts have helped many new and long-time residents move in and out of Battery Park. Let us handle every part of the move for you from packing to storage. And if you need something else, let us know! We also provide quality moving supplies and plastic bin rentals.

Our Top Battery Park Moving Tips
Cost of Living
Living in Battery Park isn’t cheap. One-bedroom apartments average around $4,000 a month. Still, you can save money in other areas like transportation. You can easily live and work in the area and with so many things to do, you probably don’t even need to travel! Much like the rest of Manhattan, Battery Park is very walkable and bike friendly.
Transportation
Need to get around? You’re in luck as you can grab almost every train line at the World Trade Center station. It’s home to 12 lines as well as the PATH train. If you can’t find the subway you need at the World Trade Center station, you just need to walk a few blocks to find one. You can also hop on a ferry and travel to Brooklyn or New Jersey!
Crime and Safety
Battery Park is incredibly safe with overall rates being lower than both the NYC and national average. The area is also served by one fire station and nearby the New York Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital.
What to Do and See
There is no shortage of things to do at Battery Park. Probably the most popular activity, especially during warmer weather, is walking along the Battery and enjoying the scenic waterfront. While walking along the park, check out Castle Clinton National Monument or ride on the SeaGlass Carousel. If you walk a bit further north, you can enjoy the beautiful Rockefeller Park which has a small pond where you can watch some ducks and other various birds enjoy a quick dip.
Living here also means there’s no shortage of entertainment. Head over to Brookfield Place for a high end mall experience where you can shop at some of the best retailers and enjoy some amazing food at Hudson Eats or one of the many restaurants including PJ Clarke’s. Connected to Brookfield is Westfield, the shopping center located in the Oculus. If you want more, head over to Stone Street for a variety of boutique shops and cafes.
